Płońsk police arrested a man who stole gas cylinders from a gas station. The total value of losses was estimated at around PLN 2,000. The 40-year-old has already been charged with burglary, for which he faces up to 10 years in prison, police said.

Kinga Drężek-Zmysłowska, the spokeswoman for the Poviat Police Headquarters in Płońsk, announced on Thursday that local officers from the criminal department, conducting proceedings in the case of the theft of gas cylinders from the area of ​​one of the gas stations, thanks to, among others, analysis of recordings from surveillance cameras identified the perpetrator of this crime. The theft occurred on April 9.

He arrived at the station early in the morning

The collected evidence showed that the driver of the Audi passenger car arrived at the gas station early in the morning and parked the vehicle right next to the cylinder rack, and then, after breaking the protection of the metal cage, packed six cylinders of propane-butane gas into the car and quickly drove away. – A 40-year-old resident of the Nowy Dwór district did not hide his surprise when the uniform knocked on the door of his house – emphasized Kom. A spokeswoman for the Płońsk police said that after the arrest, the 40-year-old was charged with burglary, with the Penal Code providing for up to 10 years in prison for committing this crime.
