Płońsk. The doctor received death threats, reported the case to the prosecutor's office. The proceedings were discontinued

Bartosz Fiałek, a rheumatologist got an email message from the “murderer from Płońsk”. He wrote that he knew where the doctor was working, he simply stated that he would murder him. The viability reported to the police and the prosecutor's office then. After a few months, however, the proceedings were discontinued. The perpetrator was not established.

Bartosz Fiałek is a doctor at the Pomeranian Rheumatology Center in Sopot. On April 30, however, he returned to the situation that met him in 2022, when he worked in Płońsk (Masovian Voivodeship). The entry in social media was added the day after murder of a doctor from Krakow. He also mentioned the murdered in January A paramedic in Siedlce.

A screenshot of the message, which he got in February 2022, joined the post. As you can see in the photo, the message came from the address “Mordderca.z.p. The perpetrator clearly threatened the doctor. He wrote that he knew where he works and that he “watches his way to work.”

The doctor then reported this to the police and the prosecutor's office. After a few months, in June 2022, the proceedings were discontinued due to the non -detection of the perpetrators of the crime.

“A few months ago a paramedic was murdered. Yesterday a doctor was murdered. Subsequent murders are a matter of time, because widespread consent to public aggression towards medical staff remains an incentive to take such actions” – wrote the doctor on April 30.

Threats aroused “justified fear”, but the perpetrator was not found

Bartosz Fiałek in an interview with tvn24.pl admitted that the hate who meets him at work is almost everyday life. In 2022 he reported several messages, but she particularly shocked him, because the perpetrator wrote directly that he would kill him and that he was watching him.

– during the pandemic Covid-19 I was extremely active, I educated society, also through the media, in the context of the virus, as well as vaccination. Then this hate spread very much on me, I got a lot of messages, but two aroused my anxiety – says the doctor.

It is about the one he has now made available on Facebook.

He adds that he was even questioned, but after four months he got information about the discontinuation of the proceedings. This was confirmed by the District Prosecutor's Office in Płońsk, which was investigating.

In the case of the news of February 2022, investigators stated that the threats “aroused a justified fear that they would be fulfilled”. However, the proceedings were discontinued on June 15, 2022 “due to the fact that the perpetrator of the crime” was not detected.

We asked the prosecutor's office whether in the light of recent events – the death of a doctor from Krakow – there is a chance to resume the investigation in this matter.

“At present, there are no grounds to undertake discontinued proceedings in the case,” we read in response.

“I have already stopped reporting these messages”

As Bartosz Fiałek tells us now, although he was disappointed, he did not expect another finale of this matter.

– A person or a person who wrote this e -mail explicitly threatening to me and my family with no life did not suffer any consequences, because the case was left unnoticed – he says.

The doctor emphasizes that if the justice system was punished by people threatening to medicine, there could be fewer such situations.

– When someone writes a message with threats of deprivation of health and even life and does not bear any consequences, in my opinion, it is somewhat an encouragement to do it. On the one hand, I will frighten someone, and I will not suffer the consequences on the other – he says.

He admits that although three years have passed, he still has a hate at work. However, it is not as severe as in the time of Covid-19 pandemic when he urged vaccinations and wearing a mask.

– I have already stopped reporting these messages due to the fact that at the time when there was an apogee of the conflict between part of this anti -vaccination society and as doctors, we did not achieve anything. It is difficult for someone to now treat a much smaller caliber now and he found and punish these people – he explains.

The viability admits that “somewhere in the back of the head is still fear.”

– It is not that it is a paralyzing fear if I had to be afraid of day in three years, we would not talk here. It is sad that I had to adapt to a situation in which someone threatens me to get over it because of the fact that three years ago I was deprived of real help from the services – sums up the doctor.
