A passenger car hit a tree in Podbiel in Otwock poviat. The police say that three men who had previously consumed alcohol traveled there. Two tried to escape, but the firefighters foiled it. It turned out that the driver was not licensed to drive.
The report on this matter was received by the services around 12.30. – The preliminary findings show that the Peugeot driver, driving from Osieck towards Tabor, for unknown reasons, pulled over to the side of the road near the village of Podbiel and hit a tree. Three men were traveling in the vehicle. Two of them fled the scene, but were caught by firefighters – reports Paulina Harabin from the County Police Headquarters in Otwock.
As our reporter Artur Węgrzynowicz learned, an ambulance service and a helicopter from the Polish Medical Air Rescue were dispatched to the site. – The helicopter has not landed. It was turned back as it approached the crash site, he says.
The police confirm that no one was injured.

The policemen examined all passengers traveling in a Peugeot for sobriety. “They found that two men are drunk and the third is drunk,” Harabin said. At first it was unclear who was driving. It turned out that a 28-year-old was behind the wheel, who, after testing with a breathalyzer, blew 0.3 per mille, which is classified as “after consumption”. – In addition, the man did not have the license to drive vehicles – the policewoman points out.
It adds that the event has been classified as a collision. The police will apply to the court to punish the 28-year-old. The man will be responsible for causing a collision, drunk driving and driving a motor vehicle without a driving license.
