In the town of Rogówek in Podlasie, two people fell out of the basket during a balloon landing, the police informed TVN24. They were taken to hospital.
The incident occurred around 7 a.m.
As reported to TVN24 by Staff Sergeant Agnieszka Ulman from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Białystok, there were 15 people in the balloon. During landing, probably as a result of a gust of wind, two of them fell out of the basket.
An 18-year-old and a 32-year-old were taken to hospital. There were 15 people in the balloon. The youngest passenger was 15.
As the police explained, the balloon bounces off the ground before settling when it lands. Depending on the weather conditions, these “jumps” can be more or less violent, and it was probably at this stage of landing that the accident occurred.
According to police information, the pilot was sober.
