From March 23 to April 11, the owners of accommodation facilities in Podlasie will be able to report to the Podlasie Tourist Voucion. The program involves paying for tourists from outside the province to at least two nights. The first people are to use it on Easter. The voivodship self -government allocated PLN 2 million for this purpose. It is about reviving tourism in the region in connection with a difficult situation at the border with Belarus.
The Podlasie Regional Tourist Organization informs that the owners of accommodation facilities in Podlasie will be able to report to the Podlasie program Tourist voucher. Applications will be accepted from March 23 to April 11.
The main goal of the voucher is to support and revive tourism in the region in connection with the difficult situation at the border with Belaruswhere since the summer of 2021 it has been going on – caused by the Belarusian side – migration crisis.

Surcharge for at least two nights
Tourism is one of the industries that bears the effects of this situation.
The Podlasie Tourist Voucher is to be an extra charge to at least two nights in facilities participating in the program in Podlasie for tourists who will come to the region outside the province. The local government of the Podlasie Voivodship allocated PLN 2 million from the voivodship budget for this purpose in 2025.
There are to be further pools of funds. First before Easter
– The program is to start in April, the first people are to use it for Easter – says a member of the board of the Podlasie Voivodship Bogdan Dyjuk.

He adds that then, by the end of the year, subsequent pools of funds in the program will be launched so as to avoid the situation that tourists will use the voucher mainly in the summer.

He adds that accommodation facilities will gain directly at this help, and indirectly, e.g. kayaking organizers, cultural institutions or national parks, which tourists will visit.
Three groups of facilities
Money for the voucher is to be divided into three groups of accommodation. The first is: agritourism farms, motorhomes, campsites, clothing shelters. The second group is included in single and two-star facilities. And the third are hotels that have three or more stars.
– It is important that all accommodation facilities must be registered in the records kept by the local government or by the local government of the Podlasie Voivodship, e.g. categorized hotels – emphasizes Dyjuk, admitting that the pool of money for 2025 is not large.

Objects may not have an arrears at ZUS or tax offices
The voucher's website is to start soon. After its launch, the accommodation base gestors will be able to apply as entities interested in participating in the competition. All objects that meet the formal requirements are to enter the program.
The voucher operator, the Podlasie Regional Tourist Organization informs that accommodation facilities that want to apply for participation in a voucher cannot have arrears in ZUS or tax offices. Prot also announces that in April a webinar will take place on the detailed rules of the program.
