On Sunday, a new version of the song “Moja i twoja nadziei” by the band Hey will be recorded in the Bieszczady Mountains. The song, performed by the Bieszczady musicians, will be posted on social media along with the account number to which money can be donated to help flood victims.
As the initiator of the event, Radosław Czubak from Baza pod Otrytem in Polana, Bieszczady, recalled, the song by the group Hey became an informal anthem supporting the flood victims in 1997. He emphasized that the consent to record the Bieszczady version was given by the creators of the song and the record companies.
Czubak added that the arrangement of the song is being prepared by musicians associated with the Bieszczady Mountains. Grzegorz “Kowal” Michalik and Paweł Lewandowski will play guitars, and Jerzy Krupa will play accordion. – The guys agreed without the slightest problem. They said it would be a great idea to record a Bieszczady version of the song Hey. The song is difficult and they have been practicing a lot for several days to make it come out well – Czubak noted.
The commune has opened a special account for payments for flood victims
The song will be recorded on stage at Baza pod Otrytem next Sunday. The recording will be posted on Baza's Facebook profile on Tuesday.
The Czarna commune joined this initiative and set up a special account number to which you can deposit money to help flood victims. And this account number will be given in the recording of this song.
“Flood can affect anyone”
“We organize a lot of concerts in Baza, hence the idea to record a song that helped people in 1997. We all remember this song and the video that forced us to reflect. Besides, we grew up and were raised on the music of the band Hey,” said Czubak.
He stressed that a flood can actually affect anyone.
Czubak invites everyone who wants to meet the musicians who will record the Bieszczady version of the song Hey on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. to Baza pod Otrytem.
