MP Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk, running in the parliamentary elections from the Left Wing election committee, had an accident at the end of the electoral convention in Łódź. She went to hospital. Now she posted a post in which she informed, among other things, that she was slowly recovering and returning to some activity.

Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk, MP from the Left from Lower Silesia, candidate in October elections from Gdynia, last Saturday, at the end of the election convention in Łódź, had an accident. On Friday, she announced on social media about the situation and her recovery. “The intervention of the emergency service, quick actions and professional care of doctors from the Emergency Department and the neurosurgery department of the WAM University Clinical Hospital in Łódź, where I stayed for a few days after the accident, meant that today I am slowly returning to myself and some of my activities,” she wrote in post on Facebook.

What about the election campaign?

Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk said that the accident caused a fracture of the skull base, which will heal in the coming weeks. These will be the same weeks as the election campaign. The MP planned to meet voters on the streets of Gdynia, Słupsk and the entire constituency no. 26, as well as at rallies, meetings, and handing out leaflets and leaflets. “Many of these plans will probably be implemented, but I may have to change some of them and entrust some of the activities to the volunteers of my campaign. The doctors’ recommendations and warnings are clear – to minimize the risk of re-injury, which could prove disastrous for me.” – stressed the MP.

At the same time, she indicated that she did not intend to give up the electoral struggle and campaign activities. “I am always running at the top of the Left list in the Gdynia-Słupsk district and together with the Pomeranian team of great candidates, we will fight for the best result and, above all, for a chance to build an efficient, safe, caring state free of fanatics from PIS or the Confederation,” she said.

She explained that her political activity may be different for some time, more modest and slightly more mediated by the media, and less conducted in the form of direct street contact.

“I trust that you will understand this. I believe that my activity for the last four years in the Sejm and beyond will be a sufficient proof of my dedication to the work of an MP and my commitment to our common struggles. I am running because I want to continue this commitment and I promise that I will return to as soon as possible. In the meantime, I am asking you for understanding, keeping your fingers crossed and good thoughts” – noted Dziemianowicz-Bąk.

“I will forever be grateful for your help and care”

In the entry, Dziemianowicz-Bąk also thanked the hospital staff. “I would like to thank and bow to the paramedics, doctors, nurses and all the medical and non-medical staff of the Military Medical University in Łódź. I will always be grateful for the help and care I received from you” – she noted.

She also thanked her colleagues from the Left and from outside the party and politics. “True friends are met in poverty – I am touched that I have so many of you” – she said.
