Waszczykowski: Nobody has ruined the image of Poland as much as the total opposition in the last two years.

  • Lewandowski: I was surprised by Morawiecki’s speech, because I thought that it would offer a compromise.

  • Janusz Lewandowski on the ruling of the Constitutional Tribunal: It actually takes Poland out of the EU legal space so that Kaczyński would have a free hand to eat the remains of Polish democracy and the Polish rule of law.

  • Borowski: The prime minister said that Poland is and will be in the EU. For the prime minister, this is and will be, that is, in the ATM part. On the other hand, the prime minister is clearly withdrawing from the Union of values.

  • Senator of the Civic Coalition and former Speaker of the Sejm Marek Borowski commented on Waszczykowski’s words: I do not see any ideology here.

  • Lewandowski: This is a question for Kaczyński – what are the benefits of Polish women from this adventurism in Europe?

  • Lewandowski: No one in the history of the EU has ruined the image and position of their country as quickly and as severely as the PiS government. Only we all will pay for it.

  • Member of the Civic Platform and former EU commissioner Janusz Lewandowski: Poland of Kaczyński and Ziobro would not be admitted to the European Union. If ruled as it is today, it would share the fate of Ukraine and Moldova.

  • What about the money from the reconstruction fund, which is withheld by the European Commission due to issues related to the rule of law in Poland? Waszczykowski: This money will be granted because there is no treaty basis for keeping it.

  • Waszczykowski on the conflict between Poland and the EU: It is an ideological dispute.

  • Waszczykowski: Where the treaties do not cover social and political life, we will be guided by the provisions of our constitution.

  • Former Minister of Foreign Affairs and MEP Witold Waszczykowski: Prime Minister Morawiecki arrived perfectly prepared, with a very matter-of-fact speech, showing very precisely that we respect the treaties.

  • – The European Commission is supposed to keep working, guarding the treaties and the Polish rule of law, but without any sudden movements. This is to return to the ruts of procedures that may take a long time in the EC – said Sokołowski

  • As he said, emotions were “cooled” during the European Council summit on Thursday and Friday.

  • TVN24 correspondent in Brussels, Maciej Sokołowski, remotely connected to the studio and sums up the last week in the context of Poland-EU relations.

  • The debate in the European Parliament on the rule of law in Poland and the primacy of EU law was recalled. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki defended the judgment of the Constitutional Tribunal concerning the supremacy of the Constitution over EU law, and the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen and many MEPs expressed a negative opinion about it.
