The 29th Pol’and’Rock Festival ended at the airport near Czaplinek (Zachodniopomorskie Voivodeship). The concerts lasted late into the night from Saturday to Sunday. – Live according to your heart and conscience – said Jerzy Owsiak, the originator and driving force of the event, which was a thank you for generosity during the Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.
On the festival stage, he performed, among others, ska-punk band Hoffmaestro, hardcore-punk Biohazard, rock Royal Republic or thrash metal band Carpenter Brut. From the Polish performers on the main stage of the event, you could hear Krzysztof Zalewski, Monika Brodka, Kwiat Jabłoni or the LemON group. The last to appear on the festival stage was Piotra Bukartyk with the band Ajagore.
The Academy of Fine Arts and the Equality March
The festival is not only concerts, but also the opportunity to meet remarkable guests at the Academy of Fine Arts. Among them were Katarzyna Kolenda-Zaleska from “Fakty” TVN and Marta Kuligowska from TVN24. Festival goers could also see Borys Szyc, Karol Wójcicki or Martyna Wojciechowska.
On Friday, participants of the fourth edition of the Equality March walked through the festival field. Participants expressed support for people LGBT+ and your opposition to discrimination and intolerance.
– Be against those who try to impose something and change it by force. Don’t agree with what you don’t want to agree with. No revolutions, just go for it elections. Maybe without any fights, just go to the elections. We don’t have to build barricades, it’s enough to go to the polls – he said at the end of the event Jerzy Owsiak.
A giant Polish flag and a wedding at the festival
During the concert of Kwiat Jabłoni, a sector flag was spread, i.e. a large, white and red flag. It was created in 2012, on the occasion of the European football championship, which was organized by Poland together with Ukraine. The flag measures 1,560 square meters.
Kwiat Jabłoni, which was honored with the Golden Bączek award – awarded as an expression of audience appreciation for the best band performing on the stage of the Pol’and’Rock Festival.
This year’s edition will also be remembered thanks to Dominika and Robert – great fans of the festival, who decided to get married there. The ceremony took place in the presence of several dozen people, Jerzy Owsiak himself and journalists. The wedding was performed by a civil registrar from Czaplinek.
