We took over a country with a very large hidden debt. Next year's budget will be very difficult – admitted the Minister of Climate and Environment Paulina Hennig-Kloska. However, she noted that during the informal government meeting, none of the ministers heard that they had to “part with dreams of increasing the ministry's budget”.
On Monday evening, an informal government meeting was held at the Prime Minister's villa in Warsaw. In addition to the Prime Minister and ministers, the leaders of the coalition groups also took part. The talks focused on planning the state budget for next year.
On Tuesday in “Rozmowa Piaseckiego” by the Minister of Climate and Environment Paulina Hennig-Kloska admitted that “this is a very difficult budget”. – We took over a country with a very large debt, with debt hidden in various extra-budgetary funds – she stated.
She added that the current government “invested a lot at the beginning of this term”. – Raising salaries for the administration in many areas, in social welfare, teachers' pay rises – she listed.
She emphasized that “today, of course, we have to keep it all within the framework and fulfill subsequent promises”. – We talked about exactly that yesterday, setting priorities, because the coalition agreement contains many elements that are important for citizens. Today, we have to fulfill these elements – said Hennig-Kloska.
Asked whether during Monday's meeting any of the ministers heard that they “must part with their plans and dreams of increasing their own ministry's budget”, she replied that “there was no such message from the Prime Minister or the Minister of Finance”.
