Poland’s GDP in 2022. The latest data from the Central Statistical Office

Poland’s Gross Domestic Product in 2022 increased by 5.1 percent. against 4.9 percent previously estimated, and in 2021 it increased by 6.9 percent. against 6.8 percent previously estimated, according to the Central Statistical Office.

In the first quarter of 2022, compared to the same period of 2021, an increase GDP was higher than previously estimated and amounted to 8.8 percent. (against 8.6 percent), in the second quarter by 6.1 percent. (against 5.8 percent), in the third quarter by 3.9 percent. (against 3.6 percent) and in the fourth quarter by 2.3 percent. (against 2.0%).

GDP – forecasts

According to economists from the Polish Economic Institute, GDP in 2023 will increase in the country by 0.8 percent, in 2024 by 2.2 percent.

“Economic growth in 2023 and 2024 will be weaker than the potential of the Polish economy. We expect GDP to increase by only 0.8 percent this year.” – wrote PIE analysts.

“The growth rate of consumer spending will be significantly lower than in previous years. The economy will be driven mainly by investments and net exports, which, however, will be a moderate driver. With such a structure, the growth rate in 2024 will amount to 2.2 percent. However, this will be a temporary slowdown” – they added.
