Sappers on Thursday morning are to pick up a quarter-ton WWII explosive discovered this week near the chemical plant in Police. The evacuation of the inhabitants of Tatynia and Wieńków was ordered. Piotra i Paweł Street will also be closed.
A 250-kilogram unexploded ordnance from the Second World War was found in Police on Monday. It is located in the forest near Piotra i Paweł Street, near Zakłady Chemiczne Police.
Sappers estimated the possible blast radius of the find at about a kilometer. They are to pick him up and secure him on Thursday around 10:00. 7 am. It is now guarded by the police.
– For the duration of the action, it was decided to evacuate the inhabitants of Tatynia and Wieńków. Residents are required to leave the danger zone. The mayor’s house in Tatynia was indicated as the place of evacuation. You will have to get there on your own. When it comes to farm animals, they should be secured in farm buildings – informed the media junior aspirant Anna Kaźmierczak from the Poviat Police Headquarters in Police.
Piotra i Paweł Street will be closed to traffic during the neutralization of the unexploded bomb, and the local government line will not run through Tatynia.
