The 22-year-old was portioning out drugs, and two 18-year-olds were standing watch with walkie-talkies. They warned their friend, but he had already been arrested. One of the 18-year-olds had previously opened the gate to a plain-clothes policeman himself. The second one jumped over the fence and ran straight into the officers.
On Monday evening, officers from the intelligence and patrol department of the capital’s headquarters decided to check the information they had, which showed that in one of the yards at ul. Drug trade is expected to flourish on Brzeska Street.
– The intelligence officers knew that there were several people on site, so coordination was important. There was a “detector” in front of the entrance to the yard. However, the 18-year-old performing this role did not realize that he had opened the gate to an ununiformed policeman. There was another man standing behind the building, who also acted as a warning about the arrival of “uninvited guests” – informs Sgt. Bartłomiej Śniadała from the Warsaw Police.
The “watchers” failed
When the policeman entered the staircase, he saw a young man who was sorting bundles of aluminum foil. At the shout of “Stop, Police!” he dropped the box in his hands. He was overpowered and the policeman called other officers to the scene. Only when the first one of them, an 18-year-old on the lookout, ran to the scene, he realized that they were policemen. He told his friend from the stairwell to run away when he was already detained. The signal from the second 18-year-old also came too late. Additionally, while trying to escape, he jumped over the fence, landing in front of the police.
Several hundred bundles of drugs
– The men were detained. The box contained nearly 120 aluminum foil bundles. Initial tests showed that they included amphetamine, marijuana, heroin, clephedrone and MDMA tablets. More than 640 similar bundles were found in one of the premises in the building. 350 of them contained methamphetamine – adds Sgt. Bartłomiej Śniadała.

The men were charged. The 22-year-old will be charged with possession of a significant amount of drugs, which is punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Two 18-year-olds were charged with being a supporter, punishable by three months to five years
