After 2 p.m., a military parade will begin on Warsaw's Wisłostrada. The crowd of spectators has been growing since noon. The culmination of the central celebrations of the Polish Army Day will feature over 2,000 soldiers and 200 units of military equipment. The parade will feature soldiers from allied forces and structures: the United States, Great Britain, and Romania, as well as representatives of the Eurocorps and the NATO Joint Force Training Center.

Viewers will be able to see, among others, Abrams tanks, Rosomak and Borsuk transporters, Krab and K9 gun-howitzers, Himars rocket launchers and Patriot and Mała Narew anti-aircraft systems.

We are reporting on this event.

  • – Although there are still a few dozen minutes left until the parade, the crowd near Wisłostrada is growing. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find a good spot to observe the approaching event – reports our reporter Aleksander Klekocki, who is observing the preparations at the Śląsko-Dąbrowski Bridge.

The parade is scheduled to start at 2 p.m.

  • Due to the parade, the Gdański Bridge is closed to vehicular traffic from 1 p.m. As a result, bus routes 409 and 500 have been changed. Earlier, at 8 a.m., the bridge was closed to pedestrian and bicycle traffic.

  • Take water, sunscreen and sunglasses with you – the Ministry of National Defense reminds everyone going to the parade. It is also worth remembering to cover your head and wear comfortable shoes. Parents should make sure that their children – in case they get lost in the crowd – wear identification bands.

  • The Ministry of National Defense emphasizes that in addition to the parade on the occasion of Polish Army Day, there will be attractions at the Polish Army Museum at the Warsaw Citadel.

  • The General Command of the Armed Forces announced that due to the heat during the parade, 20,000 bottles of water will be available at six points for those watching the event.
