Polish border with Belarus. Borownik and Koroszczyn, waiting time for clearance

The waiting time for the start of the check-in process through the Polish-Belarusian border crossing is even 33 hours. There are still hundreds of trucks waiting to leave our country on the territory of Belarus.

Due to the migration crisis, on Tuesday at At 7 am, the border crossing in Kuźnica is closed, and travelers are directed to the crossings in Bobrowniki in the Podlaskie Voivodeship or Koroszczynie (Kukuryki) in the Lubelskie Voivodeship. This contributed to the extension of the waiting time for trucks to cross the Polish-Belarusian border.


Entry to Belarus – border checkpoints Borownik and Koroszczyn

The Podlasie National Revenue Administration reported that on Wednesday evening truck drivers wishing to leave for Belarus via the Bobrowniki crossing had to wait 27 hours. According to information available on government websites, on Thursday at around 7, the waiting time increased to 33 hours.

During the last shift (twelve hours), 299 trucks were cleared in Bobrowniki and left for Belarus. There are still 700 trucks waiting before the crossing. In total, 582 trucks were cleared in the last 24 hours, informed the Podlasie National Agency on Wednesday evening.

On Wednesday morning, the waiting time for the check-in start was 29 hours, and the queue of trucks was then 15 km, with 600 trucks waiting for the check-in. According to the still valid messages from the RSO application (Regional Warning System), there is a buffer zone that begins in front of the town of Waliły Stacja. The zone serves the efficient organization of traffic on the way to the crossing. As the checks at the border are carried out, the trucks are gradually allowed to enter the first zone.

The border crossing in Bobrowniki is currently the only road Polish-Belarusian border crossing in Podlasie, which handles cargo traffic.

Hundreds of trucks are waiting to enter Belarus also before the goods border crossing in Koroszczyn. – In the last 12 hours, officers have cleared 541 trucks leaving Poland, and 500 vehicles are waiting in the queue – said the spokesman of the Chamber of Tax Administration (IAS) in Lublin, Michał Deruś.

The government’s website shows that the estimated waiting time for trucks to check-in in Koroszczyn on Thursday morning is 7 hours.
