Bishop of Włocławek, Krzysztof Wętkowski, expressed his sympathy to the families of the victims. He surrounds all the injured pilgrims and their families with prayer.
“He also asks the churches of the Włocławek diocese, especially today and tomorrow, to pray for eternal salvation for the dead, for health for the wounded, and for consolation and strength for their families” – it was written on the curia’s website.
Condolences from the mayor of the city
According to “Gazeta Wyborcza”, the victims include pilgrims from two parishes in Greater Poland: St. Wojciech in Konin-Morzysław and St. Mary in Konin.
“It was with great pain that we received the information about the accident of the coach, which was also used by pilgrims from our parish. We recommend all those who died and those who are injured, along with all those suffering from this tragedy, in prayer to God” – wrote the parish of St. . Wojciech.

12 people died in the accident
In an accident on Saturday morning on the A4 motorway north of the Croatian capital Zagreb, 12 people were killed and 32 injured, 19 of whom are in a serious condition. All accident victims are Polish citizens.
