They decided to express their opposition to what is happening in the Ministry of Defense with such a dramatic gesture – said Tomasz Siemoniak, deputy chairman of PO and former head of the Ministry of National Defense, in “Kropka nad i”. He commented on the decision to resign from positions in the army of two high-ranking Polish commanders.
Two key commanders for the army – the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army, General Rajmund Andrzejczak and the operational commander of the armed forces, Lieutenant General Tomasz Piotrowski – they resigned from their positions on Monday. On Tuesday, the president officially dismissed them from their positions appointed new commanders in their place. They were Lieutenant General Wiesław Kukuła and Major General Maciej Klisz.

According to the deputy head of PO, this matter cannot be swept under the carpet and “said: Poles, nothing happened.”
– Poles expect that the Polish Army will have its rightful place, that the uniform will be respected and that they will not be surprised in the morning with information that the most important commanders, including the first soldier, the chief of the General Staff, suddenly resign – he said.
Siemoniak emphasized that “there is a war in the east, there are many threats.” – This is simply playing with Poland’s security, completely disqualifying PISfor Minister (Mariusz – ed.) Błaszczak and the entire government that leads to such a situation – he added.
