Polish Film Awards Eagles 2022. List of winners

The 24th ceremony of presenting the Polish Film Awards Eagles has ended. The biggest winner is the drama “Aida” directed by Jasmila Žbanić, which also received awards for directing and screenplay. Jarosław Kamiński, the editor of this title, was also appreciated. The Eagle for the achievements of life was given to Jerzy Skolimowski.

Polish Film Awards Eagles 2022 awarded. The award of the Polish Film Academy in the most important category, ie the best film, went to “Aida” directed by Jasmila Žbanić. The filmmaker herself was honored with statuettes for directing and screenplay. Jarosław Kamiński – editor of “Aida” – was appreciated in the Best Editing category.

The award in the Best Main Female Role category went to Agata Buzek, the star of Łukasz Grzegorzek’s “My wonderful life”. The statuette went to the host of the evening, Maciej Stuhr, who was appreciated for his main role in “Return to those days”. The following were awarded for supporting roles: Ewa Wiśniewska (“Zupa nic” directed by Kinga Dębska) and Jacek Braciak (“Lest There Be Traces” directed by Jan P. Matuszyński).

Jerzy Skolimowski, who at the end of May won the Jury Prize of the Cannes Film Festival for his latest film “Io”, received the Eagle for the achievements of his life. The statuette was presented to him by the director Małgorzata Szumowska.

Eagles 2022. Awards of the Polish Film Academy

The Polish Film Awards Eagles were presented for the 24th time. It is awarded by the Polish Film Academy. The gala was held at the Teatr Polski im. Arnold Szyfman in Warsaw. Its host was Maciej Stuhr.

According to the Polish Film Academy, this year the nominees were selected in the Main Competition from among 71 submitted films. In the Best Documentary Film category, candidates for the statuette were selected from among 67 titles. 19 productions were submitted to the Best Film Series category.
