France interested in the construction of a second nuclear power plant in Poland?
Let us remind you that last year the Ministry of Climate and Environment said that France has confirmed interest in participating in the Polish nuclear energy program when building a second nuclear power plant. MiÅ‚osz Motyk, deputy head of the climate ministry, said that when the potential location of the second nuclear power plant “is identified”, then only Decisions will be made to choose technology. The first nuclear power plant is to be built in Pomerania, in Lubiatów-Kopalin in cooperation with the American company Westinghouse.
Polish-French Treaty “Premium” signed
The Polish-French Treaty has been prepared for over a year. From the Elysee Palace, before signing the document, a message about a historic event, which testifies to tightening relations on the Paris-Warsaw line. The Treaty of Nancy replaced the previous French-Polish agreement of 1991, which aimed to support Poland's EU aspirations. France emphasizes that on Friday for the first time she signed such a document with a country that is not her neighbor. Hence the “Premium Treaty”.
