Polish-Indian agreement: Project WS. new Polish-Indian agreements appeared on the website of the Sejm in mid-April. “The Polish-Indian agreement can be an additional Motivation to take legal work on Poland and reporting employees for social security ” – we read in the document. It was emphasized that the contract would, among others, to secure the interests of Polish companies operating on the Indian market.
The president signed a contract: Currently, there are no legal regulations in the field of social security between Poland and India. Let us remind you that in November last year President Andrzej Duda signed a contract in this matter between the two countries. Now the project has been sent by the government to the Sejm – the consent of the parliament is necessary.
The contract is bilateral: The new agreement is to be used by “people undertaking work in Poland or conducting business activity”. On the same terms, the contract will apply to Poles in India. Our country undertakes, among others ordering the issue: pensions, disability pensions for work, survivors' pensionsone -off compensation and pensions for accidents at work and occupational diseases, funeral benefits.
Controversy around the contract: The case of the Polish-Indian contract was picked up by the confederation. Vice -chairman of the Confederation Club Michał Wawer claims that an Indian living in Poland is enough to reach our retirement age, paying at least one contribution and fill in the contributory period – 25 years for men. “Even if of these 25 years he worked in Poland, e.g. a year, and the remaining 24 years in India, then The Polish ZUS will look mercifully at his modest Indian pension and generously pay him All in all He received a Polish minimum pension” – says Wawer.
