President Andrzej Duda signed the law on tax changes provided for in the Polish Lada – the President’s Chancellery informed. The tax revolution is to enter into force on January 1, 2022.

According to the law firm, on November 15, 2021, President Andrzej Duda signed the Act of October 29, 2021 amending the Personal Income Tax Act, the Corporate Income Tax Act and some other acts.

Taxes according to the Polish Order

The amendment to the act introduces tax solutions included in the Polish Lada, incl. raises the tax-free amount to 30,000 PLN and the tax threshold of 85 thousand. PLN up to 120 thousand. zloty.

The act eliminates the tax deduction for health insurance (introducing the so-called middle class relief), changes the rules of calculating health insurance contributions to entrepreneurs and introduces the so-called minimum corporate tax.

Appeal for a veto

The Entrepreneurship Council of the President of the Republic of Poland appealed to Andrzej Duda to veto the tax laws of the Polish Deal. Entrepreneurs pointed out, inter alia, the violation of the mode of conducting public consultations.

According to the Entrepreneurship Council, in the case of so many changes envisaged by the Polish Order, taxpayers will have less than two months to prepare for them, and in addition, these will be months in the very demanding period of the turn of the year for each company.

The Entrepreneurship Council consists of: ABSL, Business Center Club, Federation of Polish Entrepreneurs, Lewiatan Confederation, Polish Chamber of Commerce, Polish Business Council, Employers of Poland, Polish Bank Association, Polish Craft Association.
