Family Care Capital, i.e. an additional PLN 12,000 for the second and subsequent children, is a benefit that will be dealt with by the Council of Ministers on Tuesday. According to Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, it is “another step on the way to improving the lives of Poles and a good investment in the Polish family.” The Family Care Capital, announced as part of the Polish Order program, is to enter into force in the new year.

According to the agenda, the government will consider the bill on family care capital at its meeting on Tuesday. It provides that for every second and subsequent child in the family aged from 12 to 36 months, the benefit will be in the total, maximum amount of PLN 12 thousand. PLN per child.

Family Caring Capital – rules
At the end of July, the bill on family care capital was submitted for public consultation. The purpose of the new benefit is to partially cover the expenses related to childcare. The minister of the family, Marlena Maląg, announced that parents would be able to independently indicate whether they want to receive the capital in the amount of PLN 500 for 24 months or in the amount of PLN 1000 for 12 months.
The implementation of the Family Care Capital, i.e. the conduct of the procedure for granting the benefit and its payment, is to be carried out by the Social Insurance Institution.
According to the project, the application for 12 thousand. PLN and attachments to the application will be submitted only in electronic form, using the same ICT systems as applications for the Dobry Start and Rodzina 500 plus benefit, i.e. the Emp @ tia portal, PUE ZUS and electronic banking.
The act is to enter into force on January 1, 2022, but in accordance with the proposed regulations, the right to family care capital will also apply to parents who already have second and subsequent children aged 12 to 36 months. In such a case, the benefit will be due proportionally for the period from the effective date of the Act until the second or subsequent children turn 36 months of age.
