“Polityka” 2024 passports distributed. The 32nd edition of the cultural awards of the weekly “Polityka” appreciated: Kamila Tarabura, Wojciech Grudziński, Jul Łyskawa, Monika Drożyńska, the social movement NAFO (North Atlantic Fella Organization), Gabriela Legun and Kuba Więcek. The winner of the special Creator of Culture award was the outstanding filmmaker Marek Koterski.
“Polityka” passports 2024 are behind us. The hosts of the ceremony of awarding the 32nd edition of “Polityka” Passports were TVN24 journalist Marta Kuligowska and deputy editor-in-chief of “Polityka” Bartek Chaciński. The awards were created by the long-time head of the weekly's culture department, Zdzisław Pietrasik. For 32 years, it has been awarded every year to young creators and artists for outstanding artistic achievements. The Creator of Culture award has been awarded for 22 years, “received by people or institutions that contribute in a special and non-standard way to the promotion of Polish culture in the country and around the world.”

In the Film category, the jury appreciated it Kamila Tarabura. In 2024, her full-length feature debut “Rzeczy indispensable” – with Dagmara Domińczyk, Katarzyna Warnke and Małgorzata Hajewska-Krzysztofik in the main roles – won the Perspektywy competition in Gdynia, winning the Szafirowe Lions and distinction for directorial debut.

This year, the award organizers changed the name of the Theater category to Stage, opening it to dance and performance. He was awarded Wojciech Grudziński – dancer and choreographer, creator of performances whose common features include, apart from performing virtuosity, drawing on personal experiences and a sense of humor.

Visual artist and activist Monika Drożyńska was appreciated in the Visual Arts category. The press release wrote ironically that Drożyńska “belongs to an elite group of artists convicted by a final court judgment for their art. She received the sentence (reprimand and fine) for secretly embroidering headrest covers in PKP trains. These were usually fragments of poetry.” She became known as an artist who “introduced embroidery to salons”.

The “Polityka” 2024 Passport in the Classical Music category was awarded to a soprano Gabriela Legun. The 26-year-old graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw has been successful on opera stages and in competitions in Poland and abroad for several years.
