It is natural that in a situation where there is a change of government, we are dealing with the strengthening of the ruling parties through polls – said PiS MEP Karol Karski in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24, referring to a study by Opinia24, according to which most people would like to vote for Civic Coalition. Andrzej Halicki, MEP of the Civic Platform, said that these results “reflect what is happening in society.”

If elections parliamentary elections were held this Sunday, 32.8 percent of respondents would vote for the Civic Coalition – according to a monthly survey by the Opinia24 studio. Results survey commented in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24 by MEPs – Karol Karski from PiS and Andrzej Halicki from Civic Platform.

– It is natural that in a situation where there is a change of government, we are dealing with a strengthening of the ruling party and ruling groups through the polls – argued the PiS politician.

He said about PiS’s decline in the polls that in such a situation “it is natural.” – Those who come to power gain credit. However, those who leave this place, these percentages are (from there – ed.) taken. However, as history shows, nothing is permanent, nothing is irreversible – said the MEP.

– I think that soon, if these are not drawings but a reflection of reality, there will be a correction – said Karski, referring to the survey.

Halicki: We are only just finding out how many scandals there were

Halicki emphasized that the survey results “reflect what is happening in society.” – And you can’t ignore it, (…). This means that the other party loses this trust. Why is he losing? Because we are only just finding out – and I think this is the tip of the iceberg – how many scandals there were, how much theft, how much fraud, how many mafia-like ways of managing companies or even parties, said the PO MEP.

– And I think that Poles react to this and do not want to agree. And even those who were supporters of Law and Justice do not want to have much to do with it, Halicki said.

Halicki: Tarczyński is a loudmouth, maybe Kaczyński needs him to make a fuss

The program guests also commented on the fact that MEP Dominik Tarczyński from PiS was the new head of the Polish delegation in the European Conservatives and Reformists group. Previously, this function was held by MEP Ryszard Legutko.

Karski talked about the behind-the-scenes of the meeting Jaroslaw Kaczynski announced the decision on these changes.

– As a participant of this meeting, I can say under my name what it looked like. The president simply announced that the functions were being separated. Professor Legutko remains co-chair of our Group of European Conservatives and Reformists. Dominik Tarczyński takes over the position of head of the Polish delegation. Besides, from conversations with my colleagues, I draw the conclusion that both of them knew what was going to happen, he said. He said this was a “normal situation”.

Halicki said that Tarczyński “is a loudmouth and a person who perhaps the president needs to make a fuss.” – I don’t think Dominik Tarczyński has organized even one delegation meeting so far. And there are certainly no relations with these partners, the leaders of the ECR group, said the PO MEP
