Polska Ammunition has a new boss. Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz comments

Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz expressed his conviction that Paweł Poncyljusz, the new head of Polska Amunicja, will improve the operation of this entity. He added that the company's operations are being checked by state services. Kosiniak-Kamysz said in mid-August on Program 1 of Polskie Radio that the main accusations against Polska Amunicja concern the lack of efficiency.

In the first half of 2023, then-Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki established a government program called the National Ammunition Reserve, aimed at building a factory producing 155-millimeter ammunition. The company Polska Amunicja, established by the government's Industrial Development Agency and three private entities with no experience in this field, was designated to carry out this goal.

As onet.pl wrote, a week before the previous government was dismissed, Morawiecki signed a secret resolution ordering the purchase of missiles worth PLN 12 billion from the new company. The current management of the Ministry of National Defense questions these decisions and believes that the interests of the State Treasury have not been properly secured.
