A 51-year-old woman drove a car over her two-year-old grandson on a private property in Ząbinowice in Pomerania. The boy died in the hospital. The circumstances of the incident that took place on Tuesday in Ząbinowice in Pomerania are under investigation. According to the police, the woman was sober.
According to the press officer of the Poviat Police Commander in Bytów, Senior Sergeant Dawid Łaszcz, the services received a report of an accident in Ząbinowice in the Bytów poviat (Pomeranian Voivodeship) around 11 am on Tuesday.
– Police officers who arrived at the scene initially determined that a 51-year-old woman drove an Audi on her two-year-old grandson on a private property. The woman was sober. Rescuers at the scene revived the boy. The two-year-old was transported by helicopter to the hospital, where he unfortunately died, the official said.
– At the scene, investigators under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office secured the vehicle and all traces. The circumstances of the accident are under investigation, he added.
Radio RMF FM reported on Tuesday afternoon that the prosecutor’s office was investigating involuntary manslaughter.
