In Borkowo (Pomeranian Voivodeship) there was a collision on a section of the S7 road under renovation. As a result of the collision of about 20 vehicles, four people were killed and six were injured.
On Friday at 11:15 p.m. in Borkowo, on a renovated section of the S7 road, there was an accident involving about 20 vehicles – several of them caught fire.
Pomeranian police reported that four people were killed and six were injured.
Police officers from the Road Traffic Departments from the District Headquarters in Pruszcz Gdański and neighboring units were sent to the site.
Traffic towards Gdańsk completely blocked
The Commander of the District Headquarters in Pruszcz Gdański announced an alarm in connection with the incident. An alarm was also announced for road traffic policemen from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Gdańsk and the municipal police headquarters in Gdańsk, the Pomeranian police informed.
Police officers secure the scene of the incident and access roads. Emergency services are on site. The circumstances of the incident are determined by investigators under the supervision of the prosecutor.
Traffic is completely blocked while police and rescue services are working. At the Gdańsk Lipce junction towards Gdynia, the police organized a detour of DK 91. However, towards Warsaw, traffic on the S7 road continues without any difficulties.
