Pope Francis accepted the invitation of state and church authorities and will take part in the 43rd apostolic journey abroad. From September 2 to 13, the Holy Father will visit Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, East Timor and Singapore.

According to information provided by Vatican News, the Pope will start with a visit to Jakarta, the capital of Indonesiawhich he will travel to on September 2 and leave on September 6.

Then – from September 6 to 9 – the Holy Father will visit Port Moresby. On September 9-11 it will appear in the capital of East Timor – Dili. The last stop will be Singaporewhere it will remain from September 11-13.

Press office of the Holy See announced that Pope Francis' detailed travel plan will be announced soon. As the portal reminds, the head of the church spoke about his desire to visit this part of the world in December 2023. At the beginning of this year, in an interview with the Italian daily “La Stampa” confirmed that he would visit Indonesia, East Timor and Papua New Guinea.

Vatican: Problems with the health of Pope Francis
