Portugal. Even PLN 160,000 for listening to music on the beaches

In Portugal, listening to music loudly on beaches has been banned under the threat of a fine of up to 36,000 euros (almost 160,000 zlotys), according to the latest regulations reported on Monday by the Lisbon media, citing the National Maritime Authority (AMN).

The AMN authorities said that persons, both natural and legal, who bring columns to the beach and listen to music loudly on them are subject to punishment.

“Using sound equipment and causing noise is prohibited there in accordance with the regulations” – said the management of the AMN in a statement.

The authorities of the office specified that, according to the applicable law, natural persons for listening to music loudly on Portuguese beaches are subject to a fine of between EUR 200 and EUR 4,000.

Higher sanctions, from EUR 2,000 to EUR 36,000, apply to collective entities, such as companies that emit loud music on the beach.
