IMWM forecasters have issued a forecast of threats that may await us in this week’s weather. According to the reports, there will be regions where storms and heavy rainfall will occur. Check where warnings may apply.
Forecasters of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued a forecast of meteorological threats for the next few days.
Meteorological hazard forecast for Wednesday
On Monday and Tuesday IMWM there are no plans to announce weather warnings. Dangerous weather could return Wednesday – Level 1 alerts ahead storms may be issued in the following voivodeships: West Pomeranian, Lubuskie, Lower Silesia and Opole.
In addition, heavy rain with thunderstorms may pose a threat in places. Yellow alerts may be issued in the following provinces: Silesian (in southern counties) i Lesser Poland (in the south of the region).
Weather forecast for Thursday
Also on Thursday, heavy rain with thunderstorms is expected in parts of Poland. First degree alerts may be issued in the following provinces: Lesser Poland (in southern counties) and Podkarpackie (in the south of the voivodeship).
What is the first degree IMGW meteorological warning
The first level warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material losses and pose a threat to health and life. Running a business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from carrying out activities in the hazardous area, including delays caused by traffic disruptions, disruptions to outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation.
