The incident took place on Tuesday (October 24) before 8 p.m. in Poturzyn in Tomaszów County. Police findings show that the 55-year-old resident of the Poturzyn commune, who was driving the car, did not adjust his speed to the road conditions and ended his journey in the yard behind the intersection, which he did not notice.
He was hospitalized and lost his driving license
“The man, driving forcefully into a random yard, damaged the carport and ‘moved’ the vehicle parked inside it. As it turned out, the driver had almost two per mille of alcohol in his body. The man with general body contusions was taken to hospital,” said junior officer Małgorzata Pawłowska press release of the District Police Headquarters in Tomaszów Lubelski.
The officers seized the 55-year-old’s driving license and vehicle registration certificate. “The man will answer to court for driving under the influence of alcohol and causing a collision,” Pawłowska said.
