On Thursday evening, around 9:15 p.m., a fire broke out in the warehouse and workshop hall, which belongs to the decorative paper production plant located at ul. Wołkowyska in Poznań (Greater Poland Voivodeship).
The fire covered approximately 500 square meters of the hall. Fifty employees had to evacuate, but no one was hurt. 14 fire brigades worked on site.
– After arriving at the site, we found that the warehouse and workshop part was on fire. We managed to capture the fire through small holes to keep oxygen out. At some point, there was a risk that the roof would collapse, so we took the rescuers out, said senior foreman Jacek Michalak, Municipal Commander of the State Fire Service in Poznań.
The part of the hall where the machines were located was defended.
