They were supposed to go on holiday to Egypt, they had to stay in Poland. Border guards escorted two 40-year-olds from the plane. The men were brawling on board and did not respond to the crew’s commands. One of them was so drunk that the police took him to the sobering-up station.

Everything took place on Saturday at the Poznań-Ławica Airport. border guards received a request to intervene on board the plane which was to depart to Egypt. – The reason for the intervention was two 40-year-olds who, as indicated by the captain, behaved loudly, used vulgar words and consumed alcohol brought on board – explains Major Joanna Konieczniak, spokesman for the Nadodrzański Border Guard Unit.

One of the men was already intoxicated, so the police patrol was called to the spot. – A test for alcohol in the exhaled air carried out there showed that the man had 2.4 per mille in his body – informs Koniecznyak.

The officers decided to take the man to the sobering-up station. – The Pole did not fly away on holiday, and in addition, he is liable to a fine of PLN 500 for the offense committed – explains Koniecznyak.

Such a penalty was already paid by his colleague, who received the ticket immediately after taking him out of the plane.
