Poznań, os. Batory. Car fire in the parking lot, a corpse was found inside

A parked car burned down at the Stefan Batory estate in Poznań at night from Sunday to Monday. Inside was the body of a 66-year-old man, the owner of the car.

The service parked on the Stefan Batory Service region received a notification shortly before 1 am. A Kia Sportage car stood on fire.

– Firefighters led at the place of operation. After extinguishing the fire, a corpse was found in the vehicle – informs the inspector Iwona Liszczyńska from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Poznań.

Policemen from the Poznań – North police station dealt with the matter. – They determined that they were the corpse of a 66-year-old man, a car owner. Currently, investigators from the police under the supervision of the prosecutor determine exactly the circumstances of this event – explains Liszczyńska.

Policemen will question witnesses of the incident. An inspection of a vehicle with a fire expert will also be carried out, which will issue an opinion on the cause of the fire.
