Truant, fugitive, “Personality of the Year” – Pandka Ruda Kumari left the Poznań zoo and is on the way to her new home in the Czech Republic. “We hope that a peaceful, bamboo life awaits her,” write the ZOO employees and mention the famous escape of the animal.
Kumari is a young panda Ruda who was born last year in the Poznań zoo. This was the first such birth in 20 years. Already then it got loud about her. But she gained real fame due to a daring escape from the zoo to a nearby hospital. Now the animal is starting a new adventure.

The zoological garden announced that the animal had set off to the zoo in Uście nad Łabą in southwestern Czech Republic.

She reported to the hospital
Rude pands are predators, although the plants eat primarily, mainly bamboo shoots. At the wild they occur at the foot of the Himalayas, which is why Polish winter is not afraid of them. Although they are called pandas, they are not related to a large panda. Rather, they lead a lonely lifestyle. They are most active at dusk.
Pandka Kumari became loud in February, when probably someone damaged the fence of its catwalk, and she took the opportunity to bother. Fugitives were sought for for several hours. The zoological garden appealed in social media for immediate contact with the facility, if someone accidentally came across an animal.

On the same day, before 6pm, the zoo informed about the lucky final of the case. “We are happy to inform you that our lost panda Ruda was found and returned safely from her truancy under the care of our carers!” – stated in a message.
It turned out that The animal went to the hospital Józef Strusia. Kumari was in the internal hospital parking lot, it was located by city guards. Two ecopatroles, firefighters and zoo employees took part in catching.
The population of red pandas decreases by losing habitats and poaching.
