The National Security Bureau informed that at 10.30 there will be a meeting with the participation of President Andrzej Duda, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and government representatives. Officially: “concerning the situation in Israel.”
After the meeting, the president’s statement to the media is planned around 11.30.
The meeting is to concern the attack by the Muslim Hamas on… Israel which started on Saturday morning. Islamists have infiltrated many cities in the south of the country. Israel was also attacked with thousands of rockets. On Sunday afternoon, the Israeli military launched massive airstrikes against targets in the Palestinian Authority where Hamas members are believed to be hiding. On the night from Sunday to Monday, the Israeli military continued to conduct airstrikes in the Gaza Strip.
As the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Monday Zbigniew Rau, about 1,000 Polish citizens currently want to get out of Israel. The air evacuation is to be carried out in two ways. In addition to direct flights from Tel-Aviv to Warsaw, three planes will take our compatriots from Tel-Aviv to Chania in Crete and from there to Poland.
The most important Polish commanders resigned
Meanwhile, on Tuesday morning, “Rzeczpospolita” reported that the two most important Polish commanders the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army, General Rajmund Andrzejczak, and the Operational Commander, General Tomasz Piotrowski, resigned. Before 10 a.m., Andrzejczak’s resignation was confirmed by the spokeswoman of the General Staff, Colonel Joanna Klejszmit. She emphasized that General Andrzejczak, like every soldier, has the right to resign from his official position without giving a reason for such a decision. Lieutenant Colonel Jacek Goryszewski, press spokesman for the Operational Command, confirmed that General Piotrowski had submitted his notice of termination.
