On Sunday, President Andrzej Duda takes part in the 31st Pilgrimage of the Radio Maryja Family at Jasna Góra Monastery. – I would like to thank the whole family of Radio Maryja for your deep memory of your homeland and what is really important for your homeland, so that it lasts. For the fact that you stand up for the world of values every day – said Andrzej Duda.
On Sunday, at Jasna Góra Monastery in Częstochowa, the main celebrations of the 31st Radio Maryja Family Pilgrimage take place. It is one of the largest annual gatherings at this shrine.
Duda: the most important cell of coexistence and life is the family
– Thank you, thank you to the Redemptorist Fathers, Father Director Tadeusz Rydzyk, to all co-creators and animators of Radio Maryja and the whole family of Radio Maryja for your deep memory of your homeland and what is really important for your homeland – that it lasts. For the fact that you stand up for the world of values every day – he said Andrzej Duda.
– Values that, when built systematically, make the community, society and state strong. For what is the state strong? Strong is its citizens, whose basic and most important cell of coexistence and life is the family – emphasized the president.
He pointed out that the most basic element of the family is the nascent life. – After all, this is its quintessence. This is the whole point of its existence. We all know that a family is two people – a woman and a man who want to be together, create a community together. But how naturally they do not feel full if they do not have a child. If they do not have the element that crowns this very community of two people of different sexes who also want to give life together. To develop society and at the same time to develop the state – emphasized the president. As he added, “this is why a wise state and wise authorities bet on the family and support the family with all their strength, because it is a guarantee of the survival of statehood, nationality and society.”
“Thank you for praying also for Ukraine and for the Ukrainian people”
The President emphasized that what builds the community and what brings a lot of relief is prayer. – Now, while the Russian aggression continues on Ukraine, thank you for supporting our neighbors on a daily basis. Thank you for praying, not only for our homeland, but thank you for praying also for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people, with whom you know that in history it was different between us and them – said Duda.
He stressed that support, showing heart, brotherhood and understanding is extremely important. – Thank you for doing this. This is a great work that I hope will build a great community between our societies and nations for the next generations, building also the strength of our homeland in the future, which I deeply believe in, said the president.
– Because remember that our nation, Poland and the Crown, were the strongest when they were able to create in our part of Europe a community of different nations that understood their common interest, including the common security interest – this is extremely important for the future. Because, as you can see, history, unfortunately, likes to repeat itself. It may even make certain circles. That is why you have to look at it and read it, try to find recipes to stop bad processes and initiate good ones – said Duda.
As the president added, it is thanks to the fact that “as a nation we have been living in Christian values for over 1050 years, regardless of whether we have statehood at a given moment or not, we understand how much these values mean and what their extraordinary strength is.”
