– It is easy to serve the security of a country that does not appear to be threatened in any way – said President Andrzej Duda during the general nomination ceremony. On the eve of Independence Day, Duda presented general and admiral nominations to twelve officers of the Polish Army.
On Sunday, on the eve of the National Independence Day, during the ceremony of awarding general nominations, the president Andrzej Duda he emphasized that accepting them means taking on additional “great responsibility” for the country's security.
Expressing hope that “times of peace” would return to Poland, the president recalled that today a full-scale war was taking place across the eastern border, which actually started in 2014. – These general nomination ceremonies have gained great importance in recent years – especially since 2014, and especially since 2022 – he noted.
– It is easy to serve the security of a country that generally does not appear to be at risk in any way – emphasized the president. As he said, “it's easy and nice to receive general nominations, it's easy and pleasant to perform your duties when there are no threats, you can go on duty calmly, just go to work.” “Those days are over,” he said.
General and admiral nominations presented
Duda presented general and admiral nominations to twelve officers of the Polish Army. The President also presented general promotions to three officers of the State Fire Service and three police officers.
The Commander of the Multinational Corps North-East was appointed to the rank of Lieutenant General, Maj. Gen. Dariusz Parylak.
The following were appointed to the rank of division general and vice admiral: Commander of the Warsaw Garrison, Brig. Tomasz Dominikowski, Commander of the Multinational Division North-East, Brig. Gen. Jarosław Górowski, Inspector of Troop Types of the General Command of the Armed Forces, brig. Jacek Ostrowski and Director of the Department of Supremacy over the Armed Forces in the National Security Bureau, Cadm. Jarosław Wypijewski.
The following were appointed to the rank of brigadier general: Commander of the 7th Coast Defense Brigade, Col. Marcin Adamski, Commander of the 25th Air Cavalry Brigade, Col. Tomasz Białas, Deputy Commander of the Coalition Air Operations Center (CAOC) in Uedem in Germany Col. Tomasz Lenart, Commander of the Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian Brigade LITPOLUKRBRIG Col. Piotr Lisowski, Deputy Chief of the Inspectorate – Chief of Staff in the Armed Forces Support Inspectorate Col. Jacek Perkowski, Commander of the 10th Logistics Brigade Col. Mieczysław Spychalski and Commander of the 4th Military Clinical Hospital – Commander of the Military Medical Support Area, Col. Wojciech Tański.
The State Fire Service officers promoted to the rank of overbrigadier included: Lower Silesian Provincial Commander of the State Fire Service, Senior Brigadier Marek Hajduk, Opole Provincial Commander of the State Fire Service, Senior Brigadier Paweł Kielar, and Silesian Provincial Commander of the State Fire Service, Senior Brigadier Wojciech Kruczek.
In turn, the following persons were appointed to the rank of police superintendent: deputy commander-in-chief of police, inspector. Tomasz Michułka, provincial police commander in Poznań, inspector. Tomasz Olczyk and the Provincial Police Commander in Białystok, Insp. Kamil Borkowski.
