Kamiński and Wąsik detained at the Presidential Palace
On Tuesday evening, the police entered the Presidential Palace and detained Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsiklegally convicted politicians PIS. Politicians have been in the building since the morning, where the president invited them. Kamiński and Wąsik claim that they should not be punished because in 2015 – after a non-final verdict – he pardoned them Andrzej Duda.
The president previously announced that he would not consider pardoning politicians again because he believed that the former was valid. He also said that if Kamiński and Wąsik go to prison, they will be “the first political prisoners in Poland after 1989.”
