President Zelensky visits the Czech Republic. “Important negotiations”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky flew to Prague on Thursday evening, where he met with the Czech head of state Petr Pavel. Zelensky himself announced the official welcome to Hradcany, in the courtyard of the Prague Castle, in social media.

Pavel greeted Zelensky during his first visit to the Czech Republic at the gates of Prague Castle. According to the press service of the Czech president, the talks between the leaders were supposed to concern mutual guarantees of support, and Zelensky’s visit is a form of thanks for the help that the Czech Republic is providing Ukraine from the beginning of Russian aggression. In Prague, where the Ukrainian leader was greeted by a crowd, someone unfurled a banner reading “Ukraine in FOR THIS“, reports the CTK agency.

President of Ukraine, who earlier on Thursday he had visited Sofiaon his way to the Czech Republic, he wrote on social media that he would talk in Prague about supporting the defense of Ukraine in the war against Russia, integration with the European Union and NATO, as well as about the upcoming summit of the North Atlantic Alliance in Vilnius. Later, he posted a video of the Czech president’s welcome at Prague Castle.

The topics also include the end of the war and the reconstruction of Ukraine

“Prague is next. (Planned – ed.) There are important negotiations with President Petr Pavel, Prime Minister Petr Fiala, as well as the presidents of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies – Milosz Vystrczil and Marketa Pekarova Adamova. I will meet with representatives of the government, parliament and the media” – he announced about his visit to Prague Zelensky on Twitter.
