Grzegorz Braun – Who is he?

Grzegorz Michał Braun was born in 1967 in Toruń. He is a graduate of Polish philology at the University of Wrocław, he also completed post -graduate studies at the Faculty of Radio and Television of the University of Silesia. At the Wrocław university, he also conducted journalism classes.

In the second half of the 1980s, he was a co -organizer of the orange alternative action, so he was detained several times – he says IPN on the website of the “Solidarity Encyclopedia” project. In October 1988, he was the main organizer of a boycott of classes at the Military Studies of the University of Wrocław, in addition, he co -organized rallies and pickets – often one -man.

He tried to get to national politics in 2007, when he tried to start to the Senate as a candidate of the Union of Real Policy. He did not get the required number of votes to take part in the elections. Three years later he was in the support committee Jarosław Kaczyński during his start in the presidential election.

In 2015, Braun ran in the presidential election and obtained 124 132 votes, i.e. 0.83 percent. all votes. After these elections, he created the “Wake up” organization, whose slogan was “Church – school – shooting range – Mint”. Then in June 2019 he founded his own party, the confederation of the Polish Crown, which later joined the coalition Confederation Freedom and independence.

In May 2019 he took part in the elections to the European Parliament, but did not obtain a ticket. A few months later he got to the Sejm from the Confederation List in Rzeszów. In 2021 he ran for the office of the President of Rzeszów in early elections and took the last, fourth placeobtaining 9.15 percent votes. In the next parliamentary election, he again won a parliamentary mandate from the confederation lists. In 2024 he became an MEP from the Confederation List in District 10 (Lesser Poland and Świętokrzyskie).

On January 15, 2025, Grzegorz Braun announced his start in the presidential election. Two days later, a party court for this removed Brauna from the ranks of the confederation. Grzegorz Braun – controversy

Grzegorz Braun became famous for presenting far -wing views. He claims that he confesses traditional and Catholic values. Grzegorz Braun – aggressive behavior
