There is a place where Rafał Trzaskowski literally won with one voice. In Wrocław Krzyki, almost 100 % attendance was recorded – the least voters came to vote in Zębowice in the Opole region. Material of the magazine “Poland and the world”.
Key facts:
- Rafał Trzaskowski won the first round of presidential elections in ten provinces, while Karol Nawrocki in six.
- Rafał Trzaskowski, unlike Karol Nawrocki, won in his mother -in -law.
- The lowest attendance was recorded in Zębowice, the highest at Wrocław Krzyki.
You do not need to convince anyone that every voice counts in the fight for the office of the president. How much can it mean, as you can see in the lens in the Lower Silesian commune of Siekierczyn. It was here that Rafał Trzaskowski won with Karol Nawrocki just with one voice.

– There is no surprise here. Usually, these voices break down in a similar way. Of course, this is influenced by who rules a given city, a given province – indicates prof. Małgorzata Bieńkowska, dean of the Faculty of Sociology at the University of Bialystok.
Trzaskowski wins at home, Nawrocki loses
– There are more nuances in individual places – adds the expert. And even more in the districts. In the Gdańsk district of Siedlce, in which Karol Nawrocki was the head of the council for six years, now as a candidate supported by Law and Justice He lost to Rafał Trzaskowski. By accident or not, it is here Studio apartment of the head of the Institute of National Remembrance, which became the axis of the end of the election campaign before the first round.
– Gdańsk is a characteristic place. Actually, this is the equivalent of Podkarpacie, only in the case of the Civic Coalition. There he gains the highest support – notes the political scientist Dr. Tomasz Słupik from the University of Silesia.

Rafał Trzaskowski also won in his mother -in -law – the Ursynów district. Result? Nearly 50 percent of votes to over 15 percent at Karol Nawrocki.
At the opposite pole there is a commune of Godziszów in the Lublin province, where Karol Nawrocki won the crushing advantage, and Rafał Trzaskowski achieved the lowest support in the whole country (2.57 percent).
Record turnout
But these choices showed the slow biting of the increasing part of the political cake by Sławomir Mentzen. He was in third place, but dominated in one place. This is Dubic church, where he won nearly thirty -three percent of support.
– I did not expect such a result myself, because there were two favorites – says the head of the Dubicze Cerkiewne commune Leon Małaszewski. – I think that the main reason for Mr. Mentzen's victory is the army that is in our area – he adds.
The biggest winner of these elections is certainly attendance (67.31 percent) – the highest in the history of the first round presidential elections. But the turnout also has its dark sides. In Zębowice it was the lowest in the country – 41.61 percent. Deputy Head of the Commune Edmund Langosz explains that the low result is caused by the fact that residents vote in other places.
However, the electoral commission at Wrocław Krzyki is loud and all of Poland can follow it. Nearly one hundred percent of the entitled people voted here.
The feast of democracy was also celebrated abroad – there the turnout was record -breaking: nearly 90 percent. Karol Nawrocki won in the United States, and Rafał Trzaskowski and Grzegorz Braun came in the following positions.
The political mosaic will be arranged again
The situation changes among the Polish community around the world. Rafał Trzaskowski wins in this group, next is Sławomir Mentzen, followed by Karol Nawrocki. The result of the leader of the Confederation abroad is a surprise for experts.
– Research would have to be carried out that would show it, but Polonia is not fully aware of the political situation in the country – believes prof. Arkadiusz Modrzejewski from the University of Gdańsk. – Shapes of information come to them and on this basis they build a whole picture – he assesses.
The political mosaic will be arranged again. What a picture will be, we will see after the second round of elections, i.e. on June 1.
