The debate was divided into six thematic blocks: health, international policy, economy, social policy, security and worldview. The questions were asked by candidates. Three in each round. Health

The candidates started the debate with health questions. Karol Nawrocki said that in Warsaw he was waiting for a visit to a child psychiatrist up to three years. As an example, he gave the clinic at ul. Szlenkierów, where according to him, you have to wait until July 2030. This is a public clinic operating on the basis of a contract with the National Health Fund. Candidate PIS He asked how Trzaskowski would take care of health, since he could not take care of health in the capital.

– Mr. Karol, first of all, I congratulate you on honesty during the debate with Mentzen. Because there you admitted that PiS is responsible for everything that is bad in Poland over the last eight years – he said.

He said that when it comes to the crisis of mental health, he “took care of it seriously in Warsaw.” – We organized the entire network of special clinics. We also organized scholarships for doctors. ”

Trzaskowski asked Nawrocki about the in vitro program. – If you came to power again to fight the in vitro program and try to veto these types of ideas – asked the candidate KO.

Nawrocki estimated that “today, your colleague, colleagues and government from which the Lord comes” are responsible for the terrible state of healthcare in Poland, and “not Law and Justice.”

The PiS candidate said that “he will certainly not go out with initiatives around this program.” – Of course, these initiatives are happening with the Lord in local government, in other local governments in Poland – he added. “I will not counteract local government projects that are underway,” he announced.

Trzaskowski told him that “Mr. and Mr. Colleagues stigmatized children who were born in vitro.”

Nawrocki said that 35,000 Varsovians left the public clinics in Warsaw and are now earning private clinics. He estimated that Trzaskowski “is an experimental rabbit that is to privatize the health service.”

Trzaskowski accused him of telling untruth. He emphasized that he manages 120 clinics and 10 hospitals in Warsaw.

– You tell stories all the time, Mr. Karol, only that you have no management experience. You didn't manage anything. The Lord could not even manage a few rooms in your museum, because you used them and you have not paid for them to this day – said the candidate KO.

According to Nawrocki, Warsaw is in the process of privatization of health care. “You want to do it with all over Poland,” Nawrocki said, turning to Trzaskowski.

Trzaskowski said that in the pandemic “his colleagues earned thick money by taking a mask from the world too expensive, respirators.” He asked if Nawrocki “was in favor of the settlement of Morawiecki, Szumowski and other PiS politicians who are responsible for it.”

– We must somehow somehow to determine our discussion, because the Lord talks either about himself or about the rule of Law and Justice. I have to remind you, vice -chairman, what is my name? My name is Nawrocki, Karol Nawrocki and I came to debate as a candidate for the office of president – said Nawrocki. – And the Lord speaks as in your book on one page seven times: PiS, PiS, PiS, PiS, PiS and I, Rafał Trzaskowski, who saved the health service in Warsaw – he added.

Nawrocki said that “he intends to settle the fatal government of Donald Tusk and his environment because you are not ready to rule.”

Trzaskowski replied to Nawrocki: – You don't remember anything at all, because during the Pandemia you sat in this luxurious apartment and you didn't manage anything.

International policy

Another block of questions concerned international policy. In one of the questions to Trzaskowski, Nawrocki noticed that he was once an assistant to Jacek Saryusz -Wolski – the first government representative for European integration and foreign assistance, and then for many years. He recalled the words of Saryusz-Wolski, who assessed that Trzaskowski was “the man of Donald Tusk” and “is inept, as evidenced by his presidency in the capital.”

– I will not comment on the words of Jacek Saryusz-Wolski, because I have worked with him for many, many years and I can only speak well, because he taught us how to defend Poland's interest and we learned a lot from him. I value it very much – said Trzaskowski.

Already at the next question, Nawrocki announced that he would like Saryusz-Wolski to be his main adviser if he became president. – We also have a beautiful punch line of this service of Poland, because Jacek Saryusz -Wolski says about her: “Together with the PO, he left the Polish course, denunciations to Poland or calling to impose sanctions on Poland are just some of his activities” – PiS candidate said to the candidate of the KO.

Trzaskowski asked Nawrocki, among others, about the so -called visa scandal. – In international policy, the Lord is wrongly, here you also made a mistake. You probably did not follow the analyzes of the Sejm committee, in which it was established that it was 300 visas, not 300,000 visas – said Nawrocki.

He said that “illegal migration is a great problem today.” He announced that he would lead to “unilateral termination of the migration pact.” – We need centers of deportation of illegal migrants, not their integration centers – he added.

– The visas were distributed. 300,000 is a number from the report NIKIndependent Chamber of Control – emphasized Trzaskowski. – These centers of integration of foreigners were made by the PiS government, and at that moment we deport everyone who breaks the law. And I also submitted such conclusions – added the candidate KO.

Trzaskowski said that “the border is tight, asylum law was suspended and the migration pact will never come into force.”

Nawrocki said that “Le Monde” wrote that the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen “keeps the worst reforms and information for Poland to choose the new president of Poland.” Trzaskowski replied that “we will not agree to any solution that is bad for Poland.” He said that in the case of each decision that would be unfavorable for Poland “we will assemble the coalition to block it and not to enter into force.”

In one of the questions, the KO candidate mentioned that Nawrocki's political environment “is friends with those who want to destroy Europe.” He asked how he would build a coalition to block Mercosur.

Nawrocki replied that “first you need to build a coalition of converted countries so that the grain from Ukraine does not flood Poland.” He added that “today's solutions are temporary.”

He assessed that the Tusk government did not use the Polish presidency within the EU. – You can build such a coalition and you are not the only alternative – convinced Nawrocki.

Economy

The next round of questions concerned the economy. Nawrocki asked about the sale of a tenement house at Marszałkowska 66.

Trzaskowski stated that “we did not give a single tenement house when it comes to reprivatization, because I clearly stopped this process.”

– Your colleagues from PiS wanted to lead to selling municipal apartments with a discount. I guess why, because you have great experience here simply when it comes to how to make scams when it comes to this type of situation. And we clearly talked about it: there will be no discount, there will be no sale of municipal apartments, because we must have the greatest resource – he said.

He mentioned a studio, which Nawrocki acquired in unclear circumstances from an older man in Gdańsk, Mr. Jerzy. – At the time when all reports about your behavior appeared in terms of apartment and Mr. Jerzy, you could not explain yourself. I have already heard a dozen or so – said Trzaskowski.

– If I hear that the issue regarding Marszałkowska is controversial, although this building was collapsing, it just collapsed and people had to be moved to other apartments with a much better standard, you cannot have small municipal apartments there, you can only large, because the conservator decided so decided (…) I suspended this decision. I stopped this decision because if I hear the signals that come to me, I immediately intervene and I can explain myself from the decisions of officials – he said. – And the Lord tries to put a sign of equality between your own dishonesty and the decisions of officials – he added.

Trzaskowski asked Nawrocki, among others, about the 50 % duties announced by Trump on goods from the European Union. He asked if Nawrocki talked about it in the White House. “I will say what I did (…) I managed to put Poland in the first basket of microchips,” he said. He added that we didn't talk about duties. He added that the duties “are not good for the USA, the EU or our beloved Poland.”

The candidates talked, among others, about tax policy. Trzaskowski declared that if he became president, “there will be no additional taxes”. – I am against new taxes. It was PiS who introduced taxes – said Trzaskowski, adding that PiS introduced “22 new taxes”.

“What is harmful to promise,” said Nawrocki, referring to the statement of MP Przemysław Witek from one of the television programs. According to the PiS candidate Trzaskowski, he misses the truth, because “he ordered to work for women and men in Poland as a MP, because he voted against lowering the retirement age.”

The second round of presidential elections will take place on June 1. In the first round Trzaskowski won 31.36 percent of the votes, and Nawrocki 29.54 percent. The turnout was 67.31 percent.
