On Sunday, the first round of presidential elections took place. According to preliminary Exit Poll, the results of individual candidates are as follows: Rafał Trzaskowski – 30.8 percentage, Karol Nawrocki – 29.1 percent, Sławomir Mentzen – 15.4 percent, Grzegorz Braun – 6.2 percent, Adrian Zandberg – 5.2 percent, Szymon Hołownia – 4.8 percent, Magdalena Biejat – 4.1 percent, Joanna Senyszyn – 1.3 percent, Krzysztof Stanowski – 1.3 percent, Marek Jakubiak – 0.8 brands – percentage, Artur Bartoszewicz – 0.5 percent, Maciej Maciak – 0.4 percent, Marek Woch – 0.1 percent.

None of the candidates exceeded 50 percent. support. Such a distribution of results means that a second round will be needed and Rafał Trzaskowski and Karol Nawrocki will face it.

The date of the second round of elections is precisely specified in the Constitution. It must take place 14 days after the first vote. This means that The second round of presidential elections will take place on Sunday, June 1. Electoral premises will be open from 7:00 to 21:00. The election silence will start on the night of Friday to Saturday (May 30, 31) and will last until the vote on Sunday.

A candidate is elected president who received more than half of the validly cast votes. In the history of the Third Republic of Poland, the president was elected only once in the first round. It happened in 2000, and the election was won by Aleksander Kwasniewski. He won almost 54 percent support.
