The National Electoral Commission registered subsequent election committees of presidential candidates: Karol Nawrocki, Magdalena Biejat, Marek Jakubiak, Maciej Maciak and Marek Wocha. There are already 11 registered committees in total.

In the previous version of the document there were six registered committees – Sławomir Mentzen (confederation candidate), Rafał Trzaskowski (President of Warsaw and KO candidate), Grzegorz Braun (MEP excluded from the Confederation), Szymon Hołownia (Marshal of the Sejm, third way candidate), Adrian Zandberg (MP, candidate of the Together party) and Wiesław Lewicki (leader of the Normal Country party).

Over the past week, five more notifications about the creation of the committee came to the PKW – on Tuesday about the creation of the Electoral Committee related to Włocławek the leader of the Welfare Movement and Room of Maciej Maciak.

On Wednesday, it was informed about the creation of committees of Left candidates Magdalena Biejat, MP Marek Jakubiak (near Wolni Republicans) and the candidate of non -party local government officials Marek Wocha.

In the evening, the PKW published an updated version of the document in which all five committees were reported. According to the election calendar, it is time to notify the PKW about the creation of electoral committees for presidential candidates until March 24.

The presidential election will take place on May 18

Presidential elections differ from others in that election committees can be created only by voters, not by political parties or their coalitions.

The Presidential Candidate Electoral Committee can create at least 15 citizens with the right to choose. To create a committee, the written consent of the candidate to run and to create his committee is required. Candidates born before August 1, 1972 must attach a lustration statement.

After collecting 1000 signatures with support for the candidate, the Plenipotentiary of the Electoral Committee notifies the PKW about the creation of a committee. Only after the Committee is registered by the PKW can he agitate.

The next step of the presidential election campaign will be the application of the presidential candidate – it is until April 4 until 4pm. To register a candidate by PKW, it is necessary to collect a minimum of 100,000 signatures with support for him.

The presidential election will take place on May 18. Any second round will be carried out on June 1.
