– New candidates appeared on the democratic side, and no one new appeared on the PiS side – this is how Civic Coalition MEP Dariusz Joński commented in “Kropka nad i” on TVN24 on the results of the latest presidential poll and the decline in support for Rafał Trzaskowski. Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment Miłosz Motyka (PSL) also assessed that the multitude of candidates is the reason for the fragmentation of support. The program's guests also commented on the latest statements of PiS presidential candidate Karol Nawrocki.

Rafał Trzaskowski would win the first round of the presidential elections with the support of 29.8 percent – according to the new survey Opinia24 for RMF FM. Although the advantage of the Civic Coalition candidate has decreased significantly, he would win in the second round in a potential clash with Karol Nawrocki. 47.9 percent respondents admitted that in an electoral runoff with the participation of candidates of the two largest parties they would vote for Trzaskowski, and 38.7 percent – on Nawrocki. 13.3 percent remains undecided.

Sławomir Mentzen is in third place with a score of 13.3%, and in fourth place – Szymon Hołownia with the support of 7.2 percent. Magdalena Biejat took fifth place with a result of 3.9%.

Reasons for the decline of one of the favorites. “The answer is quite simple”

The results of the survey were commented on “Kropka nad i” on TVN24 by Dariusz Joński, MEP of the Civic Coalition, and Miłosz Motyka from PSLDeputy Minister of Climate and Environment.

When asked about the reasons for the decline in support for Trzaskowski, Joński replied that “the answer is quite simple.” – Because we have several candidates on the democratic side. On the side PiS no one new has appeared, and here new candidates appear. I think that's the reason. Well, the campaign starts in 48 hours and full speed ahead. We are mobilized and there is real determination to win these elections, he said.

– We can approach polls at this stage with a great deal of caution – said Miłosz Motyka. – I believe that the actual campaign will start sometime at the turn of March or April. I think that then a larger group of our compatriots will also look at the candidates. We have more candidates on the democratic side, hence the fragmentation of support is much greater than on the right-wing side, commented a PSL representative.

“He doesn't say much, but when he does say something, everyone shakes their heads”

The program's guests also commented on the latest statements of PiS presidential candidate Karol Nawrocki. They referred, among other things, to his attitude during meeting at Jasna Góra, when he did not react to the shouts: “Once with a sickle, once with a hammer, the red rabble.” – He doesn't say much, but when he does say something, everyone shakes their heads – commented Dariusz Joński.

– If this gentleman invited you to… Westerplatte Nazi organizations, to meet veterans – including criminals and Nazi organizations, so what can we expect from him at Jasna Góra? If this is the beginning of his campaign, what will happen in the following weeks? I believe that Poles also need to see who we are dealing with, the KO representative continued.

– On the one hand, it is amazing, because we thought that nothing worse could happen to us than that the PiS candidate would read from a piece of paper. It turned out that this wasn't the worst after all. It turned out that the worst thing is what Karol Nawrocki will say when they do not prepare this card for him, when he says his hateful slogans, when he is also able to disrespect the traditions of others – emphasized Miłosz Motyka.

– He will not be the president of all Poles. This is certain, he added.

Health education is to be introduced. “It should be voluntary”

The program's guests also talked about the subject health educationwhich is to be introduced into schools from the 2025/2026 school year in place of education for family life (Family Life Education). This is a joint venture of the ministries of national education, health, sports and tourism. At the end of October, the Ministry of Education published the draft core curriculum.

Motyka and Joński talked about whether this subject should be compulsory.

The PSL politician said that health education “should be voluntary.” – Moreover, education for family life, which previously existed at school, was an equally voluntary and optional subject. But Rafał Trzaskowski also talks about non-obligatory health education. And I don't think it's a nod to any voters, said Deputy Minister Motyka.

– Rafał Trzaskowski, candidate for president, believes that there should be health education – emphasized Dariusz Joński. – It may be voluntary at first, because schools really need to be prepared, teachers need to be trained, but I don't think anyone has any doubts that health education is very necessary. In highly developing countries, this is absolutely essential, he added.
