PiS presidential candidate Karol Nawrocki announced in Białobrzegi when he would announce his “action plan”. At the meeting, he also talked about Polish agriculture and the agreement with Mercosur countries.
Karol Nawrocki during a meeting with the inhabitants of Białobrzegi (Masovian Voivodeship), he assured that he would be a president who would take care of the interests of Polish farmers. He referred to the negotiations of a free trade agreement between the European Union and the Mercosur bloc of South American countries.
– I want to say clearly: I am against agreements such as the agreement between the European Union and the Mercosur countries – said Nawrocki. – And the Polish farmer is our national asset and every decision I make, every act I sign will refer to what the Polish farmer feels on the one hand, the Polish entrepreneur on the other hand and what Poles think – he declared.

Agreement with Mercosur countries
Mercosur, i.e. the Common Market of the South (Mercado Común del Sur), is a regional organization bringing together the countries of South America, including: Brazil, ArgentinaUruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia. Last week, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced in Montevideo, Uruguay that The European Union and the Mercosur countries have completed negotiations on the agreement on free trade. For the agreement to enter into force, it must be ratified by the member countries. Poland is against signing this agreement. He also expressed a negative stance French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday in Warsaw.
According to critics of the Mercosur agreement, EU import regulations lack provisions that would impose European standards on importers. They concern, among others, animal welfare, the use of pesticides and the administration of hormones to animals, which is banned in the EU.
Nawrocki also announced that “probably in mid-February” he and his colleagues will present their “action plan.”
