The head of government, Donald Tusk, talked on Tuesday with the prime ministers of Great Britain and Canada – Rishi Sunak and Justin Trudeau. “We confirmed the will of deeper cooperation between our countries, including on security, energy and Ukraine issues,” he wrote, informing about the talks.
“Cordial talks with Poland’s proven friends, the Prime Ministers of Canada Justin Trudeau and Great Britain Rishi Sunak. We confirmed the will to deepen cooperation between our countries, including on issues of security, energy and Ukraine,” wrote the head of government.
Prime Minister Sunak’s press service reported that he congratulated Tusk on winning elections. The conversation concerned “cooperation and strengthening British-Polish relations, which are rooted in history and strengthened by shared values.”
“Leaders also discussed Russian aggression against Ukraine, noting that Poland and Great Britain are some of Kiev’s closest partners,” the statement reads. “They agreed to continue cooperation to ensure national and European security and prosperity,” it added.
