Referring to the conflict between US and Korean companies over the construction of the power plant, he said it “has to be resolved between them.” “We have nothing to do with it here,” he said.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during the briefing after the meeting with the vice president USA Kamala Harris in Washington said that he discussed matters related to the presence of American business and American energy as well as the American defense industry on the territory of the Republic of Poland.

– It has been a long time since there was a year like this last year, when Poland’s rapprochement with the US was so intense, when it came to the point where we started many new, fundamentally key projects – said the head of the Polish government.

One of the discussed projects – as the Prime Minister pointed out – was the nuclear energy project. He stressed that the presence of American investors here is particularly intense and particularly important.

US-Korean dispute ‘must be resolved between them’

When asked about the issue of building a nuclear power plant in Poland, he indicated that the government had adopted an appropriate program in this matter. “So the deal is moving in the right direction and pace,” he said. He added that he had discussed this issue with the vice president of the United States and earlier with the president Joe Biden.

Referring to the conflict between American and Korean companies regarding the construction of the power plant, he replied: – I look at it pragmatically, I am interested in Poland’s interest, Polish raison d’état. If only Americans and Koreans get along, we will have excellent Korean investors in Poland.

– This dispute between Americans and Koreans must be resolved between them. We have nothing to do with it here. We are waiting for its decision, said the Prime Minister.
