Prime Minister of Georgia: we are suspending talks on EU membership

Georgia is suspending talks with the European Union on membership in this organization until 2028, said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze. He also announced that the government was waiving EU budget grants until then.

Kobachidze said on Thursday that by the end of 2028 Georgia “it will be economically ready to start talks on membership in the European Union,” reports NewsGeorgia.
